The new asphalt on the Silverstone Circuit is another test bench for the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini

The 5.9 kilometres of the Silverstone Circuit will host the twelfth round of the 2019 MotoGP season. And, for the second year in a row, there will be completely new asphalt waiting to welcome teams and riders after the drainage problems that occurred last year. It will be an unknown factor for all and another test bench for the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini.

Adapting to the new surface and the traditionally unpredictable weather conditions will define the team and rider strategies from the very first session. Aleix and Andrea have a crystal-clear idea of the script to follow: continue development on the Aprilia RS-GP and prepare for the race on Sunday as best as possible.

Aleix Espargaro - "At Silverstone I hope to get close to the leading group, a mark that we unfortunately missed in Austria. There are many unknowns for this weekend, but the strategy is always the same for me: give 100% and exploit the technical package to the maximum."

Andrea Iannone - "The English track is never a simple one to tackle, both because of the layout and because of the conditions that can have a heavy impact on the weekend. This does not change my approach. For me and Aprilia, every track is a blank slate on which to continue our work."
